Agora Publishing House is proud to announce the publication of Donald Tusk’s personal diary - „Szczerze" (Sincerely) on December 12, 2019. This is a personal journal about the backstage of European politics and key moments of Polish and European history in recent years, also containing the author's political credo. On the occasion of the premiere - "Gazeta Wyborcza" and the Agora Publishing House organized a meeting with the former President of the European Council, which took place on Saturday, December, 14 at the Warsaw headquarters of Agora S.A.
Donald Tusk’s book presents a look at Europe and at the world through the eyes of a Polish politician, a consciuos supporter of the European Union, who can realistically assess the threats. The title of the publication promises sincerity. Yet a politician is never entirely honest. In this book, however, Tusk is more sincere than one would expect - wrote Adam Michnik, editor-in-chief of „Gazeta Wyborcza".
The book „Szczerze" allows it readers to follow Tusk’s footsteps from the first to the last day in his role as European Council's president. It tracks the most dramatic events of recent years: terrorist attacks in Paris and Brussels, the refugee crisis, the death of Gdańsk President Paweł Adamowicz, as well as endless negotiations on the Brexit. The publication offers laso complex and surprising portraits of the major figures in world politics, from Barack Obama and Angela Merkel to Donald Trump and Boris Johnson.
„Szczerze" (Sincerely) is a clear and passionate story about Europe, as well as a reflection on political everyday life, which often brings a lot of disappointments. Donald Tusk shares his experience with readers, presents his own professional credo, at the same time creating a useful guide through the world and European politics.
