Radio Trefl, the first formatted radio station in the region, celebrates its fifth birthday. Its current format, playing Tri-city's favourite songs, was decided by listeners. In the middle of 1999 Radio Trefl switched to Golden Oldies - the best of Polish and foreign music of the 60's, 70's and 80's. In the beginning of 2000 Radio Trefl became the market leader in terms of audience, as well as advertising revenue. That achievement was a direct result of consistent programming and marketing strategy.
- Overtaking other radio stations in the market, even those operating longer than us, was a total team effort - said Maria Pawlow, Radio Trefl's General Manager.
