Marcin Gadziński becomes Managing Director of Gazeta.pl

Marcin Gadziński becomes Managing Director of Gazeta.pl

From 1 January 2018 Marcin Gadziński will take up the position of Managing Director of Gazeta.pl. In his new position, he will be responsible for the results, finances and development of the Gazeta.pl Group. Paweł Stremski remains the programme director responsible for the content of all websites of Gazeta.pl Group. The new head of Sport.pl will be Marlena Jezierska.

– We want Gazeta.pl to work even faster and more efficiently - both on the editorial and business level. Therefore, the Gazeta.pl portal and its sites, as well as Sport.pl and the product development team should be managed by one person. The changes in the structure will enable us to make decisions more efficiently and consistently implement our priority tasks - explains Paweł Wujec, Director of the Internet segment at Agora.

Marcin Gadziński, in his new position of Managing Director of Gazeta.pl, will be responsible for the work of all editorial and business teams of the Gazeta.pl and Sport.pl Groups, as well as the product development team headed by Krzysztof Stankiewicz.

Marcin Gadziński was the director and publisher of Sport.pl since 2013. Under his supervision, Sport.pl became one of the most popular sports websites in Poland and one of the most important Internet brands of Agora. He consistently implemented the mobile strategy, among others by developing the Sport.pl LIVE application (no. 1 on the sports applications market) and editorial involvement in social media (a leader among sports media on Facebook and Snapchat). He has extensive journalistic experience - he was, among others, a correspondent of “Gazeta Wyborcza” in the USA.

Paweł Stremski - co-author of numerous successes of Gazeta.pl, including Weekend.Gazeta.pl magazine and Next.Gazeta.pl - remains the programme director of Gazeta.pl, responsible for all content on the websites of Gazeta.pl and Sport.pl Group, as well as for new projects and formats.

The new head of Sport.pl, responsible for strategy and development, is Marlena Jezierska, so far the director of marketing and business development of this brand.

Marlena Jezierska guarantees the continuation of the digital and business strategy of Sport.pl, based on modern sponsoring projects. We have an intense sports year ahead of us - with the Winter Olympics in Korea and the Mundial in Russia - in which the development of Sport.pl will be one of our top priorities - emphasizes Paweł Wujec.

Marlena Jezierska has been involved in the Internet business for ten years, of which six years she has dealt with the sports business. She has extensive experience in marketing and sponsorship projects - to promote Sport.pl she engaged famous athletes (Grzegorz Krychowiak, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Kamil Grosicki) and she successfully developed MyFitness.pl website, among others cooperating with its ambassadors.
