Helios to open cinemas in Legionowo and Pabianice

Helios to open cinemas in Legionowo and Pabianice

The Helios cinema chain signed agreements for the opening of two more multiplexes in Legionowo and Pabianice. The new cinemas will offer a total of 8 screens and 1200 seats. Opening is scheduled for 2018.

In Legionowo and Pabianice Helios cinemas will be the first modern multiplexes with 4 screens and space for 600 viewers. The facilities will be equipped with state-of-the-art solutions ensuring, among others, exceptional image quality and excellent sound, and their viewers will also benefit from the offer of cafés and cinema bars.

– We have managed to develop a model of a smaller, 4-screen cinema, thanks to which we can create modern multiplexes also in smaller cities - in expanded or renovated galleries. Such cinemas are very popular among the audience, who no longer have to go to a distant big city and are more likely to spend their free time in local shopping centers. We are glad that in this way we can enter new, attractive markets and enable more and more cinema fans in Poland to watch films on the big screen - says Tomasz Jagiełło, President of the Helios cinema chain.

The cinema in Legionowo will be located in the expanding Gondola Gallery, and its opening is scheduled for July 2018. Helios cinema in Pabianice will be opened in December 2018 in Tkalnia Gallery, which will be built in a revitalized factory. Colliers International advised on the lease of space for both cinemas of the Helios chain.

In 2017 Helios opened new multiplexes in Wołomin and Krosno, and by the end of the year the network will have expanded by another location - in Stalowa Wola.
Helios plans to open further multiplexes: in the Blue City shopping mall in Warsaw (8 screens, 1,500 seats), in the Libero mall in Katowice (8 screens, 1,400 seats) and in the Forum Gdańsk shopping complex (9 screens, 1,300 seats). The opening of Helios cinema in Galeria Piaseczno is planned for 2021 as a result of the expansion of Auchan Shopping Centre near Warsaw (8 screens, 1400 seats).

Helios is Poland's largest multi-screen cinema chain - it owns 43 cinemas with 237 screens and over 48,000 seats. All Helios cinemas are fully equipped with digital projection technology. The company concentrates its operations mainly in medium-sized cities, but its cinemas are also present in the largest Polish agglomerations, such as Łódź, Tricity and Wrocław.
