"Gazeta Wyborcza" with nearly 260,000 digital subscriptions

At the end of December 2020, the number of "Gazeta Wyborcza’s" digital subscriptions reached nearly 260,000, increasing by 19.2% yoy. The share of all digital revenues of the daily has already totalled ca. 36.0% - this is the result of consistent investments in the digitization of Agora's flagship press title, which has been carried out for over 7 years.

The digitization processes in the Agora Group, consistently implemented for several years, accelerated even more in 2020, resulting in the increase in the number of subscriptions and the level of digital inflows of "Gazeta Wyborcza". The Wyborcza.pl digital subscriptions amounted to nearly 260 thousand at the end of 2020, which means an increase by 19.2% compared to December 2019. The revenues from this title also increased significantly. In March 2021, the Management Board of Agora announced that this year it will continue to invest in technology and digital sales development, including the sales of digital subscriptions of "Gazeta Wyborcza".

From 25 January this year, Internet users interested in the digital offer of "Gazeta Wyborcza" can choose from three types of subscription packages: Basic, Premium and a new Club Package, prepared for those readers who treat "Gazeta Wyborcza" as "their newspaper". The first two packages also changed: the Basic one satisfies subscribers looking for information, opinions and journalistic investigations, and the Premium additionally contains a section with texts from the European newspapers – "Gazeta Wyborcza’s" partners, including "Die Welt", "Le Figaro", "El Pais", "La Repubblica" and others. The enriched offer of "Gazeta Wyborcza" is now available at Wyborcza.pl/prenumerata. More information - agora.pl.

"Gazeta Wyborcza" is the leader in the digitization process of the press in Poland - in February 2014, it was the first Polish title to introduce a system of limited free access to its digital content and an offer of paid digital subscription.
