In September 2005 Agora will launch two new special editorial projects: travel books and children's fairy tales. Agora has also prepared a special event in September - a DVD premiere of the movie "Karol, the man who became the Pope", which will be out for sale with "Gazeta Wyborcza" on September 16.

Travel books collection consists of 30 tourist guides. The series opens with the Mexico guide which will be distributed as a free-of-charge addition to the Saturday's edition of "Gazeta Wyborcza" on September 10 in the circulation of 600 thousand copies. The series including Italy, Egypt, Turkey, China and many others will be sold together with "Gazeta Wyborcza" every Saturday starting September 17 at the retail price of PLN 25 plus the price of "Gazeta".

All subscribers of the travel books series, as well as Gazeta's readers who collect 20 out of 30 coupons printed weekly in the newspaper's supplement "Turystyka. Podroze Male i Duze" (Travel. Big and Small Trips) will receive a bonus addition to the collection - "The Wonders of the World".

The editor of the travel books series is Mediaprofits Publishing. The collection's content is licensed from the Insight Guides tourist books. The series was a result of combined interest and enthusiasm of the two best known tourist information providers: The Insight Guides Publishing, which publications have set a standard for the illustrated guides since 1970, and The Discovery Channel - the world's best producer of the TV documentaries.

Agora will also offer a installment payments system for the series. Our readers may subscribe to the series not leaving their homes. The whole payment will be divided into 12 installments - regular with no interest, with a 0% annual interest rate of the total amount. Financing is provided by Beneficial Kredyt, retail branch of HSBC Bank Polska SA. The subscriber will not pay additional cost of the loan agreement.

Children's fairy tales are prepared by Agora and recommended by its parenting monthly, "Dziecko" (Child). The series will consist of 20 volumes, each of which will include a book and a CD. A collection includes classic fairytales such as: "Little Red Riding Hood" or "Thumbelina" in a contemporary re-interpretation of the two outstanding Polish authors - Grzegorz Kasdepke i Jaroslaw Mikolajewski. The original graphics for the series was designed by a team of remarkable illustrators: Agnieszka Zelewska, Paweł Pawlak and Elzbieta Wasiuczynska. The fairytales on a CD are read by Magda Umer (a well-established Polish artist) and Wojciech Mann (a popular journalist and TV presenter).

The first tale of the series is "A Little Red Riding Hood". It will be a free-of-charge addition to the 10th issue of the "Dziecko" (Child) monthly on September 14 in the circulation of 200 thousand books. The following fairytales will be out for sale every second week starting September 30 to June 28, 2006. The price of the volume (book and a CD) is PLN 14.90.

A special addition to the children's fairy tales series is "Playing Fairytales" book with two CDs. The CDs include recordings of three fairytales featuring outstanding artists like: Irena Kwiatkowska or Jerzy Bończak, while the book comprises poems, games and a text of a theatre play for kids based on thefairytales. All subscribers of the series, as well as "Dziecko" readers who collect 8 of 10 coupons printed in the magazine will be eligible for the gift.

"Karol, czlowiek, ktory zostal papiezem" (Karol, the man who became the Pope) - Agora will also add to "Gazeta Wyborcza" a premiere DVD movie by Giaccomo Battiato, with Piotr Adamczyk as Karol Wojtyla. A movie, which had a cinema first showing on June 17, will be sold at PLN 49 plus the price of "Gazeta Wyborcza" on September 16. Agora's partner in this project is Universal Pictures.
