Agora's dailies received prestigious awards in the International Newspaper Marketing Association (INMA) contest. Winners were announced at the gala dinner in New York on April 28, awards were granted for the best marketing solution in press in the previous year.
The jury awarded free daily "Metro" the first prize in the category Marketing Solutions for Advertising Clients for its project "MetroPolen" - special edition dedicated for Berliners. Two projects by "Gazeta Wyborcza" - "Koniec Akademii" ("The end of the Academy") and "Polacy, odwagi!" (Poles be courageous) - were ranked third in the categories: Marketing Campaign That Had the Most Profound Effect on Business and Print Single-Copy Sales.
The 75-year-old INMA Awards 2010 competition generated 533 entries from 137 newspapers in 28 countries. Judging was conducted via the Internet by 23 judges worldwide. Judges included executives from media companies, product manufacturers, and consulting firms worldwide. Judges selected award recipients in 10 categories in three circulation groups: under 75,000, 75,000-300,000, and over 300,000.
