The Management Board of Agora S.A. informed today about the changes in composition of the Management Board and the post of the Company's CEO. Hitherto CEO, Ms Wanda Rapaczynski resigned from the participation in the Company's Management Board and from the post of the Company's CEO. The Management Board of Agora S.A. selected for her successor Mr. Bartosz Hojka. The change is effective as of today.
-When we asked Ms Wanda Rapaczynski to come back to the management board of Agora S.A. we entrusted to her the task of composing new management board and finding the successor. She completed the task even earlier than we expected and with the excellent result - said the Chairman of Agora's Supervisory Board Mr. Andrzej Szlezak.
-I believe that we created the team of talented managers of young generation and managed to select the leader who is equipped with all qualifications necessary to lead Agora successfully into the future. The helm of the Company is in the hands of energetic, smart and capable people - commented Wanda Rapaczynski.
-We worked out a solid development plan for the coming years, in which I trust and treat as my personal commitment. I have distinguished colleagues, both in the Management Board as well as in the whole Agora's team. I am convinced that we will accomplish this plan together. Agora is a unique company with exceptional acquis and heritage with which I identify myself - said new CEO of Agora S.A. Bartosz Hojka.
Mr. Bartosz Hojka has served as the Management Board Member since June 28th, 2013. He started his work in Agora in 1998. In 2005, he became the head of Radio segment. He restructured Agora's radio operations which resulted in significant improvement in the segment's profitability and development of radio operations. He introduced the brand Zlote Przeboje into the market and under his leadership TOK FM radio became one of the most quality valued media in Poland. At that time, Radio segment acquired new licenses, developed innovative online offer and became the market leader in radio brokerage services. Mr. Bartosz Hojka initiated the process of Agora's entrance into the TV market and played a key role in the process of acquiring the TV concession for the film channel by Stopklatka S.A.
Mr. Bartosz Hojka is forty years old and graduated from the faculty of journalism at the University of Silesia.
