„Gazeta Wyborcza” with new price list from January 2022

„Gazeta Wyborcza” with new price list from January 2022

From January 2022, the price of the „Gazeta Wyborcza’s” editions from Tuesday to Friday will be higher by PLN 1.0. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays the daily will cost PLN 4.99 and on Fridays - PLN 6.99. Despite this change, which was mainly influenced by rising publishing costs, "Wyborcza" will remain the most affordable opinion-forming daily on the Polish market.

After the price change - from January 2022, from Tuesday to Thursday, „Gazeta Wyborcza” will cost PLN 4.99, and on Fridays PLN 6.99. The prices of the Monday and Saturday editions will not change, standing at PLN 5.99 and PLN 7.99, respectively. The daily will be released for the first time with the new price on January 4, 2022.

- „Gazeta Wyborcza”, like other press offices, is facing rising publishing costs. This is mainly due to the lack of paper noticable throughout Europe, which led to a sharp increase of its prices. During the pandemic, the volume of packaging production has grown abruptly - it is now consuming a lot of raw material for the paper production. The costs of other services are also rising, including energy, fuel and transport services prices. Due to the increasing production costs of each copy of the newspaper, we decided to change the price of four out of six editions of "Wyborcza" - explains Wojciech Bartkowiak, publishing director of "Gazeta Wyborcza". - Despite this, from January 2022, "Wyborcza" in newsstands will continue to be the cheapest among opinion-forming newspapers available on the market, offering its readers an unique set of content prepared by the best journalistic team in Poland for every day of the week.

The readers of the paper edition of "Gazeta Wyborcza" are offered a form of subscription that is unique on the market - a newsstand subscription. It is invariably the cheapest and price resistant form of purchasing "Wyborcza". Its subscribers receive also books as a gift every month - currently the series Wyborcza Reporters recommend. Additionally, each subscriber of the newsstand offer has access to the Wyborcza Club online subcsription package. Its members may, i.a., participate in online meetings with the editorial office and its guests, as well as use the digital archive of "Wyborcza" articles.

"Gazeta Wyborcza" is the largest opinion-forming daily in Poland, the content of which is available both in paper and digital form - on Wyborcza.pl websites, in the mobile application and in the version for e-readers."Gazeta Wyborcza" is the leader in the digitization process of the press in Poland. At the end of December 2021, the subscriber community of the digital edition of the journal numbered over 280 thousand.
