‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ initiates a new environment project ‘One Planet.OneLife’

‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ initiates a new environment project ‘One Planet.OneLife’

How to stop the deepening ecological crisis? Does humanity still have time to save the Earth from a total ecological disaster? To answer these and other questions about the threat of climate crisis and human impact on the environment ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ initiates the project ‘One Planet.OneLife’  , under which articles on selected environmental issues will be published weekly in printed newspaper and on Wyborcza.pl. The first part of the series begins on June, 26th and the main theme will be water.

Unstable weather, great drought and alternating with great floods, higher and higher temperature every year. The climate crisis affects our everyday life and lifestyle. ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ at the start of the project ‘OnePlanet.OneLife’ poses a question: ‘Do we still have time to change this deteriorating situation every year, which leads us to an irreversible climate catastrophe?’ and gives a floor to journalists to talk about climate collapse and look for solutions that a single person, large organization or local government can implement to meet environmental challenges that we face, both on a global and local scale.

From June, 26th every week for three months ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ will publish texts on a specific climate issue. The first theme of the series will be water. Journalists and experts will try to answer questions about, among others drought threatening us or the global war on water based on research and reliable scientific reports. They will also show examples of how to keep and save water effectively not to lose it irretrievably.

The articles will be available to read in the paper version of ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ and on Wyborcza.pl.

The supporting partners of the project are Wavin and Kompania Piwowarska.

’Gazeta Wyborcza’ has long been encouraging its readers to more pro-environmental attitudes, by means of, inter alia, the weekly Ecological Newsletter available for every digital subscriber of Wyborcza.pl who can subscribe to its content on website: Wyborcza.pl/newsletter.

The 'OnePlaneta.JednoŻycie' project is supported by promotion in the press ('Gazeta Wyborcza' and its weeklies) and on the Internet (Wyborcza.pl, Facebook and Instagram) and newsletters of the Wyborcza.pl website. Advertising activities were prepared and planned by the team of the marketing and advertising department of ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’.
