– The turbulent year 2020 has focused our attention on ensuring the safety of our employees and supporting our media users, customers and business partners. In addition to the struggle related to the economic and social consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, last year was filled with activities aimed to prevent progressing climate change, protect human rights and freedom of speech, which we have been consistently implementing in numerous projects and partnerships for over 30 years. – emphasizes Bartosz Hojka, President of the Management Board of Agora, in the letter opening the report. – Today, we all hope that we are slowly entering the “new normality”. There are still many unknowns ahead of us, but also clear signposts for Agora. Those include the European Green Deal, the Paris Agreement on environmental protection, and especially the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in the field of gender equality and respect for human rights. Therefore, in 2021, as in 2020, we want to act in accordance with the principle “Responsible every day – for the sake of society and the environment”.

This strategy has been consistently developed for years under the slogan "Everyday responsible", in which "responsibility" is defined as sustainable development, impact on the environment and creating value for society. The report focuses on areas resulting directly from ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) factors, i.e. related to environmental activities, social impact and protection of human rights, as well as responsible management and business ethics based on the assumptions of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals.
The activities carried out in each of these areas and the goals set for implementation are described in 5 thematic parts constituting the Report.
The first one presents the business activities of the Agora Group in 2020, as well as the values and principles prevailing in the organization, including compliance with corporate governance and non-financial risk management.

At the same time, the Agora Group team initiated, continued and supported social, cultural and educational campaigns. Agora was also involved in charity work – you can read about these activities in the section "Our responsibility towards the society".
In the Agora Group – in accordance with the idea of sustainable development and strategic lines of responsibility adopted for many years – also activities for environmental protection are developed. They are described in the chapter "Concern for the environment". In this section, you can learn about the environmental impact of the various areas of the Agora Group's operations and the numerous pro-environmental projects undertaken by Agora's media and brands last year.
