EKO Backlight has joined the portfolio of pro-environmental solutions offered by AMS. Its introduction will allow the annual reduction of CO2 emissions by approximately 684 tons, and of particulate matter by up to 6 tons.
EKO Backlight is a set of pro-ecological solutions, which include: energy-saving LED lighting, reducing light pollution by possibility of switching off the lighting and ecologically certified printing of advertising materials. AMS is the only out-of-home advertising company on Polish market that offers a system of intelligent on-line controlled backlights. Thanks to the use of a remote control system, it is possible to turn off the lighting on more than 800 backlights between 1 am and 4 am, which will allow the annual reduction of CO2 emissions by approximately 684 tons, and the emission of particulates (dust) by up to 6 tons. In addition, the campaign on EKO Backlight includes printing on recyclable material with the use of latex paints, which do not affect subsequent recycling.
- Thinking in terms of ecology is one of the basic values of our company’s philosophy. For years, we have been actively participating in the "Earth Hour" campaign, which this year falls on March 27. We are all the more pleased that we can introduce the next solutions from our EKO offer in this "Hour" - says Grażyna Gołębiowska, marketing director at AMS.
The new offer is dedicated especially to those customers who want to advertise their products in line with the message of responsible thinking about the use of our planet's resources. AMS belives that each advertiser has a real impact on improving the condition of the environment, because the EKO Backlight campaign uses materials that will have another life, and responsible behavior will reduce the carbon footprint of the business.
Additionally - in January 2021 AMS obtained the EKO Biznes certificate confirming that the energy purchased from Tauron comes from low-emission sources.
The AMS EKO offer also includes: EKO bus shelters with green roofs in four cities, EKO poles - the largest in Poland network of poles powered by solar energy, EKO Busback - city advertising in motion on zero- and low-emission public transport vehicles. AMS also carries out educational campaigns as part of the „EKO Inicjatywa AMS” project.
