In two weeks, on May 24-26, a consecutive edition of the weekend Poland Runs shall take place - the climax of the action initiated by "Gazeta Wyborcza".

Weekend Poland Runs is organized for the 9th time. The idea is simple: to encourage different organizations and institutions to organize the run for everyone during that weekend. A year ago, among 723 events we observed school sports days, family picnics, serious races and common runs in the parks. We saw competition in prison courtyard, championships of kindergartens and nordic walking. Ca 120 thousand people participated in the action.

This year we want to break last year record: we invite amateur group of runners and activist runners, sports clubs, companies, schools and kindergartens and all other organizations to organize a run on May 24-26. After registration of the run at: Polskabiega.pl, it will be marked on Polish map of runs. The map is used by runners and funs - and they will check the map to find out where during the Weekend Poland Runs their selected run will take place. The events may be registered till May 25.

This year we will have also a run organized by Poles living in Moscow.

This edition of the Weekend Poland Runs shall be accompanied by the cycle of articles in "Gazeta Wyborcza". It started with the text "Biegniesz=Widzisz". In total till June 3, there will be 15 articles published in national edition of "Gazeta Wyborcza" and several tens in local editions of the daily.
