    "Kontynenty" (Continents) - new magazine about traveling published by Agora

    Press release 160 pages of reportages, accounts, photos and essays about traveling, world and people; well-known authors - inter alia, Andrzej Stasiuk, Wojciech Jagielski, paulina Wilk, Jacek Hugo-Bader, Lidia Ostałowska, Marcin Kydryński, Jurij Andruchowycz, Krzysztof Miller - all of this you can find in a new magazine by Agora entitled "Kontynenty" (Continents), available in points of sales on May 25th, 2012. Its largest highlight are unknown photo portraits taken by Ryszard Kapuscinski.

    - We give the magazine into the hands of known writers, awarded photo reporters and essayists - travelers and wanderers. This magazine is designed to give pleasure of reading and stimulate the imagination - says Dariusz Fedor, the editor-in-chief. - We want "Kontynenty" (Continents) to be the feast for senses and engaging reading for everyone.

    "Kontynenty" (Continents) are literature of journey, personal accounts of reporters, photographers and travelers who have the flair for writing and photography, the accounts of journeys and large discoveries, interviews, as well as the excerpts of the most interesting journey and reporter books before their market premier as well as previews of publishing novelties of this kind.

    In the first edition the readers can find, inter alia, "Zapiski moldawskie" by Andrzej Stasiuk, "planned" and personal confessions of Jacek Hugo-Bader about his life as a reporter, the story by Wojciech Jagielski about the scandals of young Madela, visionary comparison of the present time in Japan with the future of Europe by Paulina Wilk, photos and essay on Vietnam by Marcin Kydryński, the interview with Colin Thubron - one of the most recognized travelers - writers, the winner of this edition Ryszard Kapuscinski awards, the story about sinking Artic by Adam Wajrak and the story by Mariusz Zawadzki about obsession with a mysterious Portuguese map.

    The most important material in this edition of "Kontynenty" (Continents) are unknown portraits by Ryszard Kapuscinski found in his private archives.

    "Kontynenty" (Continents) shall be published as quarterly at the price of PLN 13.95. The magazine is prepared in the Agora's Magazine segment. It is co - written by the journalists and reporters from "Gazeta Wyborcza".

    The model of "Kontynenty" (Continents) was prepared by the Agora's magazine team. The layout was prepared by Andrzej Przygodzki and the cover picture by Piotr Lesniak.

    "Kontynenty" will be promoted in Press ("Gazeta Wyborcza" and "Metro", Agora's magazines, "Newsweek", "Forbes"), radio stations (Radio TOK FM, Radio Zlote Przeboje, Radio Roxy) and in portal Gazeta.pl and on the website Podroze.gazeta.pl.
