Gazeta Wyborcza" employs experienced team of journalists, editors, foreign correspondents and photographers. From the onset, "Gazeta's" Editor-in-Chief has been Adam Michnik - a historian, legendary leader of the Polish democratic opposition, a prominent journalist, and a promoter of values of democracy and freedom. The first Deputy Editor -in - Chief is Jarosław Kurski, the other deputy Editors-in-Chief are: Piotr Stasiński, Paweł Lawinski and Jerzy B. Wojcik.

"Gazeta's" unique team comprises professionals from a wide range of fields: science, politics, culture and economy, who all contribute to the superior quality of the newspaper highly valued by press organizations. The journalists of "Gazeta Wyborcza" were awarded, inter alia, with XMA Cross Media Awards (IFRA), World Young Readers Prize (WAN), and INMA Awards.
