"Gazeta Wyborcza" and Instytut Praw Pacjenta i Edukacji Zdrowotnej (The Institute of Patient Rights and Pro-Health Education) started the campaign "Humane treatment". The organisers of the action aim to check whether the patients rights are being respected in hospitals and medical institutions in Poland, as well as to promote compliance with those rights. The action is designed to improve the conditions in Polish medical institutions and to join the efforts of doctors, nurses, medical service, NGOs and other institutions.
On November 30 "Gazeta Wyborcza" started editorial series "Humane treatment" - the articles on patients' situation in Polish hospitals, interviews with experts, reports and surveys. In December "Gazeta Wyborcza" will publish also a unique guide for patients, doctors, nurses and medical personnel. The whole campaign will last a year.
