Price increase of "Gazeta Wyborcza"

Since January 2, 2009 "Gazeta Wyborcza" will cost PLN 1.8 and PLN 1.3 in subscription.
- We have decided to increase the price of 'Gazeta' due to expected cost increase, including production cost, said Stanisław Turnau the Director of Newspaper Operations. Higher price will enable further growth of Gazeta and will provide the readers with the highest quality newspaper.
"Gazeta Wyborcza" is the last opinion making daily that increases its cover price. Earlier their cover prices increased "Dziennik" and "Rzeczpospolita". "Gazeta" in subscription - since May 2006 has cost PLN 1.0 and its cover price hasn't changed since April 2006 when it cost PLN 1.5.
