Copy sales of "Gazeta Wyborcza" in August 2008

Paid circulation of "Gazeta Wyborcza" in August 2008 reached the level of 395 thou. copies and grew by 2% mom. If compared to August 2007, the result decreased by 10%. In the same period "Dziennik" decreased its copy sales by 9% yoy (to 158 thou. copies), "Fakt" by 7% (to 490 thou. copies) and "Rzeczpospolita" by 7% (to 152 thou. copies) while paid circulation of "Super Express" grew by 0.8% (to 209 thou. copies).
The share of other paid forms of distribution* in paid circulation for "Gazeta" stood at 7% while for "Dziennik" reached the level of 45% and 13% for "Rzeczpospolita".
* Other paid forms of distribution (according to ZKDP) include copies for which the publisher has received at least 30 percent of the cover price of a specific issue, and which are not classified as the retail sales or subscription. Titles sold in other paid forms of distribution are usually sold by the publisher for the further non-paid distribution (e.g. in mass transport, hotels etc.) or sold by the publisher on the basis of a barter agreement, in return for goods or services.
