Wyborcza.biz constitutes a new and exceptional offer among business websites. It is addressed to demanding customers interested in economy. Users searching for quick information and comments explaining the matter and consequences of various events will find on Wyborcza.biz content comprising selected, major economic news provided with expert comments and additional materials, e.g. in a video format.

The important asset of the Wyborcza.biz website will be its own news - provided to the market for the first time exactly on its web pages. The website's editorial team also uses information from the news agencies, which is supplemented with original comments and selected info sources. In some specialist fields, Wyborcza.biz will draw on prestigious partner websites, e.g. the special section of "Harvard Business Review”.

Editorial team

The website is created by a team of 33 people, including journalists from "Gazeta Wyborcza's” economic section, as well as journalists and editors of the economic web pages on the Gazeta.pl portal. This is one of the first cases in Poland when the editorial team from a printed newspaper has been combined with its website.

"We have managed to blend two separate organisms into one effective team surprisingly quickly," says Paweł Lawinski, deputy head editor at "Gazeta Wyborcza" additionally in charge of Agora's business website. "The idea of a separate economic website was born in February 2009 and by March we already had a draft plan. The first effects of cooperation were visible as early as in mid-June."

The website also employs a group of specialists for internet pages development and a video recording team.

Audience

The Wyborcza.biz website is addressed to people interested, in particular in their professional life, in economy, economics and finance. They are well educated, hold serious jobs and have a clear-cut opinion on numerous economic matters. Another target group includes younger audience, such as e.g. economic schools students hoping for a career in business. Both theses milieus will appreciate the quality of the presented content and professional information selection, while searching for original comments and opinions.

Advertisers

Customers may take advantage of dual-media offer, comprising advertising in "Gazeta Wyborcza's” economic section, entitled "Business, People, Money”, and on the Wyborcza.biz web pages. They might also choose to benefit separately from the advertising potential of either the paper edition of "Gazeta Wyborcza” or the Wyborcza.biz website. Bank Raiffeisen Polska - the partner of the website - is present on the web page with its advertising and sponsor references.

Promotion

The launch of the Wyborcza.biz website is supported by a promotional campaign encompassing TV (TVN 24, TVN CNBC, Polsat News, Discovery), radio (TOK FM, PR 3, RMF Classic), AMS outdoor advertising panels (billboards and backlights), varied formats of internet advertisements (among others, on services of the Gazeta.pl Group, Mediarun.pl , Bankier.pl , Nf.pl , Ipo.pl web pages and in the media industry newsletters), daily press ("Gazeta Wyborcza” with supplements) and magazines (such as "Polityka”, "National Geographic”, "Focus”, "Marketing w praktyce”, "Harvard Business Review” and "Traveller”).

Non-standard ads of the Wyborcza.biz website will also be displayed on New Light multimedia carriers and in the cars of the Warsaw underground, on the CityINFOtv screens.

The campaign outline has been prepared by the Jasieński & Stadnicki Advertising agency and the interactive Byss agency, while media buying has been entrusted with Starlink.
