Slovenia awards Adam Michnik

Adam Michnik, "Gazeta Wytborcza's" Editor-in-Chief was presented by the Ljubljana University with an honorary title. Slovenian academicians presented this title to Adam Michnik for his intellectual contribution to the European culture, involvement in democratic movement, support for unity and cooperation among nations and dialogue. He was also praised for publications, writing and dissent during the communist period.

These distinctions were also presented to Vaclav Havel and dr Peter Zajac - Slovak literature expert and publicist.
