The Gates of the country
The gates of the country is the first Polish comprehensive program of urban marketing dedicated to creation of image and brand of Polish cities, which is focused each year on a selected aspect of urban space.

The first edition of the Gates of the country was dedicated to welcome signs on the borders of cities. The subject of the second edition was The Information Systems in the cities and the best use of USP in the promotion of the city.

The following edition dealt with small architecture and urban furniture and the fourth one was concentrated on the presence of promotion, commercial information and social communication in public space. The program "The gates of the country" had its fifth edition entitled "City without obstacles" devoted to removing architectural barriers for the disabled persons.

Within the program of the Gates of the city each year the following events are organized:

•  conferences for local governments,

•  contest for the best solutions in urban marketing, and

•  the publication from the Library of City Image.

The whole project is supervised by Program Council comprising specialists from many fields of knowledge: architects, town-planners, market specialists and promoters of Polish design.
