In October 2009 "Metro" was honored with the distinction in the report "Dailies" by a specialist weekly "Media & Marketing Polska".
"Metro" was awarded for its unique quality, dynamic development of sales offer and online social-networking activities.
The authors of the report highly praised editorial actions undertaken by "Metro" in 2009, i.a. sociological survey "Generation of Population Boom", action "School of Trust" and "Round Table 2009" - which has been also honoured with a Jury Commendation in the prestige contest World Young Reader Prize, organized by World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers WAN-IFRA.
