TOK FM
TOK FM is the first Polish news radio. It operates in ten Polish cities - Gdansk, Gdynia, Katowice, Krakow, Lodz, Opole, Poznan, Szczecin, Warsaw, Wroclaw.
The station celebrating 10th birthday as the first information radio station in Poland, has been operating on the Polish market since 1998. TOK FM adopted new formula in 2003 with the new editor - in chief Ewa Wanat. During this time the station developed its information and journalistic formula attracting listeners with original programmes, subjects and involvement in public affairs. Each year Radio TOK FM improves its financial results and audience share. It also achieves high positions in citation rankings and as a recognizable brand.
Radio TOK FM is a station in "news and talk format", opinion forming "spoken" radio. Speech constitutes about 90% of radio content and one can listen to, inter alia, commentaries and dedicated to specific subjects programmes hosting variety of well-known and respected Polish journalists and market specialists on economics, politics, culture or social sciences. The radio station raises many interesting and controversial subjects and its informative character is stressed by its positioning motto - "Listen to TOK FM, to understand". The music, which constitutes only the background for the spoken word, is represented mainly by mainstream jazz, funky, soul and folk.
TOK FM is dedicated to listeners interested in reliable and comprehensive information about Polish and foreign affairs and deepening this knowledge by high quality journalism. The listeners of the station live mainly in large cities, are educated, actively participate in political, economical and cultural life, are affluent. They occupy managerial positions, are owners of the companies, representatives of free professions, the intellectuals - the leaders of opinion.
In January 2010, Agora launched news portal Tokfm.pl replacing previous webpage of radio TOK FM and opened a new stage of TOK FM brand presence in Internet.
Portal Tokfm.pl offers mainly its own information materials on politics, business, sports, culture and entertainment as well as the selection of the most interesting news from other media. The content prepared by journalists from the multimedia newsroom run jointly by radio TOK FM and portal Gazeta.pl comprises hot news, authorial materials and audio and video coverages.
