The NIKE Literary Award
The NIKE Literary Award was founded in 1997 by "Gazeta Wyborcza" and Nicom Consulting to promote Polish literature. Every year the nine-member jury selects the Polish book of the year from a set of 20 nominee titles in a three-stage competition. The author of the winning book receives the NIKE statuette and a check. Among the Nike winners are prominent Polish writers and poets.

2008 - Olga Tokarczuk for "Bieguni"

2007 - Wieslaw Mysliwski for "Traktat o łuskaniu fasoli"

2006 - Dorota Maslowska for "Paw królowej"

2005 - Andrzej Stasiuk for "Jadac do Babadag"

2004 - Wojciech Kuczok for "Gnoj"

2003 - Jaroslaw Marek Rymkiewicz for "Zachod slonca w Milanowku"

2002 - Joanna Olczak-Roniker for "W ogrodzie pamieci"

2001 - Jerzy Pilch for "Pod Mocnym Aniolem"

2000 - Tadeusz Rozewicz for "Matka Odchodzi"

1999 - Stanislaw Baranczak for "Chirurgiczna Precyzja"

1998 - Czeslaw Milosz for "Piesek Przydrozny"

1997 - Wieslaw Mysliwski for "Widnokrag"
