Agora's social activities
For many years, Agora have been engaged in social and charitable activities. The Company and its media, initiate and support social, civic and pro-ecological campaigns as well as support the most interesting projects and cultural events. Agora's social responsibility is reflected in the transparency of its business practices and fulfillment of corporate governance rules as well as focus on development of its employees and environmental issues.

Agora's media - "Gazeta Wyborcza", "Metro", magazines and Internet portals, radio stations and AMS execute a number of pro - social campaigns and support campaigns executed by other institutions. The most known nationwide campaigns organized by media comprising Agora Group include, inter alia: "Humane Birth", "Transparent Poland", "School with class", AMS Gallery of Posters and the plebiscite "Mom friendly company".

Social campaigns undertaken by the Group and engaged attitude of its journalists were noted by numerous prestigious Polish and foreign institutions, for example: Amnesty International, Friends of Integration Society, IFRA and World Association of Newspapers.

Agora Foundation, created in 2004, supports selected social activities undertaken by Agora's media, Literary Award "NIKE", "Zeszyty Literackie" and a number of selected specialized non - profit charitable organizations, inter alia, Fundacja Mam marzenie (I have a dream Foundation), Foundation for Children "Help on Time", Stefan Batory Foundation. It signs long term agreements with partner organizations subsidizing them with the resources for their social operations.

The Foundation helps, inter alia, sick and disabled children, finances scholarship programs and programs equalizing educational opportunities. The Foundation publishes in "Gazeta Wyborcza" free advertisements aiming at public collection of money for the cooperating organizations. Agora Foundation as a public beneficiary collects 1% tax deduction.
